FABTECH International® &
AWS Welding Show
Expands for 2007
It was January 1, and already the 2007 FABTECH International & AWS
Welding Show scheduled for Nov. 11– 14 was completely sold out! What to do?
Every inch of exhibit space in the South Hall of Chicago’s McCormick Place
was gone. After weeks of negotiations with another show, the three sponsoring
associations – FMA, SME, and AWS managed to obtain access to the North
Hall of McCormick Place and have now expanded the show into that hall. As
of Feb. 15, more than 800 exhibitors occupy more than 435,000 square feet of
exhibit space in the two halls.
“We were thrilled to be able to expand the show floor to accommodate new
exhibitors,” said Mark Hoper, CEM, FMA’s FABTECH show manager. “We
added new pavilions this year for thermal spraying and laser equipment on top
of our traditional pavilions for forming and fabricating, welding, tube and pipe,
and stamping. It will be an easy walk across the concourse for attendees to get
from one hall to another. We’re even adding a satellite registration area outside
the North Hall, so that attendees will be able to start in either hall.”
The FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show is co-sponsored by the
Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA), Society of
Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and American Welding Society (AWS). If
your company wants to exhibit and reach the thousands of qualified decision-makers who will attend this event, you can take advantage of the recent space
expansion by calling 800-432-2832 today and requesting an exhibitor
information packet. A current floor plan can be viewed at www.fmafabtech.com,
and when registration for attendees begins May 1, free registration will be
available online at the same Web address.
