Laser cutting system
Amada America Inc. has introduced
the FOL3015NT flying-optic laser
cutting system. It features linear
drives in the X, Y, and Z axes, providing users with a dual linear-drive
gantry capable of moving the cutting
head at 13,386 IPM along an X-,Y-axis vector of 45 degrees, and at an
acceleration of 5G. According to the
company, it is the fastest laser cutting
machine on the market by more than
2,300 IPM.
Automatic press brake cell
Salvagnini offers the Roboformer G2,
a self-contained robotic press brake
cell for automatic part bending,
including large, thick, and heavy
parts.
This second-generation cell automatically programs the manufacturing and stacking of parts directly from
imported CAD drawings. The Kuka
robots need no teaching. Bending
instructions are assigned using LVD’s
CADMAN bending database and
experience embedded in
CAMformER software. All programming is performed offline.
The cell includes a new, easy-
access LVD press brake equipped with
an Easy-Form® laser device that helps
ensure quality from the first part, as
well as a Softlink part manipulator.
One supervisor can oversee the production of up to five cells.

Replacements Can Be
Better Than Originals
A fixed reflective beam collimator,
together with CNC adaptive optics,
allows for cutting of a variety of thicknesses, from thin sheets to 1⁄2-in.-thick
steel plate.
The machine features the HS2003
noncontact capacitive sensor laser
head for the high-speed processing of
mild steel, aluminum, and stainless
and galvanized steels. The laser resonator automatically calibrates itself
for all operating parameters. As its
cutting head moves across a stationary workpiece, the adaptive optics
provide optimum focal point and
power density control, reports the
manufacturer.
The single-piece cast frame controls
interior and exterior vibration. The
lightweight gantry, coupled with a
high-speed sensor cutting head, makes
the cutting system suitable for a variety
of high-speed fabrication needs.

Liquid cylinder gas manifold
Harris Products Group has introduced
the Series 240 HP liquid cylinder gas
manifold. It is designed to regulate
and monitor vaporized gas from cryogenic cylinders. The manifold automatically switches over when the primary cylinder bank is depleted.
A green light indicates the primary
cylinder service bank is functioning
and the reserve bank is ready for service. A red light signals that the system
has changed over and one or both
banks are depleted. The user resets
the primary bank by turning the lever.
The manifold is designed for use
with 350-PSIG relief valve liquid
cylinders.
