Videoscope delivers remote
quality control inspection
Titan Tool Supply Inc. has introduced
the TVS- 35 series videoscope for remote
visual inspection. It features 360-degree
articulation using tungsten-braided
sheathing that enables simple insertion
and bending through complex environments, according to the company.
A mechanized joystick directly controls the camera
articulation. This enables the camera tip, with a 120-de-
gree field of view, to be steered through narrow bores,
channels, and complex curves.
Features include a built-in, 3.5-in. monitor screen and
high-intensity LED lights with six-step intensity control.

Glass fiber tape reduces
In the center of each 3-in.-wide
aluminum adhesive tape is a 1-in.-
wide band of woven glass fiber.
The glass fiber matting, which has
differing thicknesses to match the
welding current in use, is positioned under the center of the weld
joint. The welding torch argon flow
has sufficient space to move between the pores of the matting so
the arc can stabilize and start forming the weld root.
Universal hardness tester
Buehler has introduced the
hardness tester. It comes in two
configurations: UH4250 Hardness Scale 0.5-250 kgf and UH4750
Hardness Scale 3-750 kgf.
The tester tests Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop, and Brinell hardness
scales within the selected tester
load range. The test process is controlled by DiaMet software for automatic testing and repeatability.
The unit can test large and small
manufactured components in the
lab or on the production floor.
Features include a closed-loop
loading cycle, eight-position turret,
300- by 400-mm T-slot stage with
high-weight capacity, and an optional clamping tool.
