Resonetics acquires Caribou Technologies
Nashua, N.H.-based Resonetics has announced its acquisition of Caribou
Technologies, Blaine, Minn., a supplier of centerless grinding, forming,
coiling, machining, and laser processing for the medical device industry.
Resonetics offers laser micromanufacturing and contract manufacturing
services to the life sciences industry. It also offers thin-wall stainless steel
tubing; precious metal radiopaque marker bands; and nitinol processing.
The acquisition gives the company new capabilities to manufacture
tightly toleranced metal components and subassemblies.
Titan Production Equipment
of Exter-ran Corp.
with a mission to hire 200 people within six
months, Titan Production Equipment, The Woodlands, Texas, has
reached its goal. Business has increased since the firm became a
stand-alone company in July 2018,
focusing on oil and gas production
equipment. It designs, engineers,
and manufactures equipment used
to separate, process, and treat hydrocarbon streams.
At the company’s production
plant near Columbus, Texas, staffing has more than tripled. The
210,000-sq.-ft. production facility
has the capacity to manufacture
more than 4,000 units a year.
Central States Mfg. plans
Missouri manufacturing plant
Central States Mfg. Inc., a producer
of metal roofing, siding, and components, will invest $6.3 million to
locate its manufacturing and retail
operation in St. Peters, Mo.
Expected to open later this year,
the 53,600-sq.-ft. plant is expected
to create 88 new jobs. It will be the
company’s 10th location.
Barsteel Corp. acquires
Barsteel Corp., a flat-rolled steel
distributor and processor, has
announced its acquisition of Millennium Metals LLC, Steger, Ill., a
processor and distributor of plate
and bar products. Art Hoekstra, co-founder of Millennium Metals, continues as president of Millennium.
Barsteel, Highland Park, Ill., is
a distributor of hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and coated steel products.

PCS to repurpose Louisiana
facility for steel fabrication

has begun repurposing its entire
facility in Eunice, La., to support
the steel fabrication capacity at its
sister company, DIS-TRAN Steel, in

Industrial Magnetics Inc., Boyne
City, Mich., a provider of permanent magnets and electromagnets

conveying, and magnetic separation, has acquired Clamp Mfg. Co.,
South El Monte, Calif.
