Initiative aims to increase
Wisconsin Economic Development
Corp., Milwaukee 7, and Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership have
announced the launch of the Transformational Productivity Initiative, a
program designed to help small and
midsize manufacturers in Wisconsin improve their productivity.
The group is seeking five to 10 companies to participate for a two-year trial
period. Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, several University of
Wisconsin programs, and a number of
manufacturers will develop diagnostic
and assessment tools to determine the
issues a;ecting productivity growth
and help formulate solutions.

Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance in recognition of its collaborative
e;orts with area educators to support
the education and training required to
fill manufacturing and fabrication jobs
in Green Bay, Wis.

Trades Center Academy o;ered by the
De Pere and West De Pere school districts. The apprenticeship program focuses on students who are interested in
a skill trade a;er graduation and gives

the high schools, Robinson Metal has
a five-year commitment to Northeast
Wisconsin Technical College through
the Robinson Metal Inc. Scholarship
Program. Students enrolled in a variety
of machine tool, welding, and mechanical design technology programs are eligible to apply.
The company recently added a
WARDJet R-2014 waterjet large format.
The equipment allows multiple large
sheets of material to be loaded and cut
at the same time, which the company
says improves the quality and e;iciency
of its cutting operations.

named to Indiana
Manufacturers Hall of Fame
Mid-West Metal Products, Muncie, Ind.,
has been selected by the Indiana Manufacturers Association as an inductee into
the Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame.
The company is a fabricator of wire,
sheet metal, and tubular metal products.
Kloeckner Metals expands
South Carolina plant
Kloeckner Metals Corp., a producer
and independent distributor of steel
and metal products based in Roswell,
Ga., has expanded its plant in Greenville, S.C., with the installation of a
50,000-sq.-;. bay with 43-ton cranes
and a new automated slitting line for
processing AHSS and aluminum.
Far West Fabricators awards
$5,000 scholarship to Perry
FarWest Fabricators, Moxee, Wash.,
has presented a new $5,000 Je; Carter
Scholarship to Perry Technical Institute,
Yakima, Wash., to support students pursuing technical training in its welding
and machining and precision manufacturing programs. The scholarship is
named a;er the company’s recently retired former owner.

able to o;er our support both financially and through our employees serving

ISO Finishing to double in size
with newly added services
ISO Finishing has announced it will add
more than 10,000 sq. ;. to its existing
Minneapolis location. The expansion
will bring production space to allow for
additional centrifugal barrel machines
and vibratory finishing bowls for deburring and polishing parts for the medical,
firearm, automotive, additive manufacturing, and aerospace industries.
The added space will allow the company to expand its passivation services,
increase media inventory, and implement additional ancillary finishing
equipment and services.
