invited to the Oval Office on Oct. 6 for a ceremony marking

a CNC wire forming manager, represented the company at
the White House ceremony, where President Trump signed
a presidential proclamation naming the day in honor of the
country’s manufacturing industry.

Mid-West Metal Products, Muncie, Ind., has been selected by
the Indiana Manufacturers Association as an inductee into the
Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame.
The company is a fabricator of wire, sheet metal, and tubular metal products.
Superior Joining Technologies
receives Nadcap welding
Superior Joining Technologies, Ma-chesney Park, Ill., a provider of precision welding, NDT, and laser process
services to the aerospace and metalworking industries, has been granted
welding accreditation from Nadcap and
the Performance Review Institute.
The company is the only facility in
the Rockford, Ill., area with the Nadcap
welding accreditation and one of 16
Nadcap-accredited welding suppliers
in Illinois. The firm has been Nadcap-certified for NDT for seven years.
Posco opens steelmaking
facility in Indiana
South Korea-based steelmaker Posco
has opened a plant in Jeffersonville,
Ind., that processes steel wire for fasteners, nuts, and bolts used in the automotive industry. It also serves as a distribution center for other products.
The $21 million, 80,000-sq.-ft. facility
is the first phase of construction. The
company also plans to expand the plant
to 136,000 sq. ft. in the near future and
create up to 60 jobs.
Tregaskiss enters into
with Dinse GmbH
Tregaskiss has announced it will enter into a five-year
Dinse GmbH to provide robotic water-cooled GMAW guns
to the North American market under
the Tregaskiss™ by DINSE™ brand name.

All authorized Bernard and Tregaskiss channel partners in North
America will have access to this line
of robotic GMAW guns. Warehousing
and logistics for the products will be
handled by Bernard, a Tregaskiss sister
company, in Beecher, Ill.
Cargill sells U.S. steel
fabrication centers to Metal One
Minneapolis-based agricultural trading
company Cargill has agreed to sell its
eight U.S. steel fabrication centers to
Japan-based Metal One.
Cargill exited the steel mill business
in 2016 with the sale of its stake in North
Star BlueScope Steel.
