The robot has a 33-lb. payload capacity and a 55-lb. up-
per arm payload capacity, enabling spray equipment to be
mounted directly on the robot arm. It also features a nearly
9-ft. horizontal reach and ±0.006-in. repeatability.
It features a hollow wrist with a large inside diameter of 2. 75
in., which accommodates the mounting of spray equipment
applicators with large hose bundles. Interference between the
hoses and parts/fixtures is avoided.

DDL direct-diode laser—the first of its

This platform delivers higher performance and reliability than traditional fiber or other solid-state laser generation
systems, the company states.
The machine provides fast cutting
speeds and wall-plug efficiencies of 45
percent, as compared to 35 percent for
fiber. Its wavelength—shorter than fiber
lasers—results in higher-speed cutting
in thin to medium worksheets, including reflective materials.
The PreviewG control provides high
speed and accuracy for increased productivity. It offers optimum acceleration and deceleration for the reduction
of cutting time, and tolerance control
helps ensure high-speed corner cutting.

Quick-change disc system
reduces thermal load
from Pferd is
designed for use with coated abrasive,
nonwoven, and felt discs. The threaded
backing pad allows the disc to be used
on most angle grinders.
The special geometry of the cooling
slots helps ensure a high throughput
of air, reducing the thermal load on the
abrasive material and workpiece. According to the manufacturer, this helps
provide up to 30 percent lower workpiece temperatures, up to 25 percent
increased stock removal, and up to 30
percent longer disc life.
