Equipped with a Tool
Storage Rack, the ACIES
can store up to 300 tools
which are automatically
replaced when a preset
hit count is reached.
AMADA’s ID Tooling System revolutionizes the way you monitor and manage your turret tooling inventory. Each tool component (punch, die, guide, spring pack) is marked with a unique
laser-etched Data Matrix code that tracks all important tool attributes. Key attributes include;
machine and station location as well as each tool’s size, shape, height and hit count. A hand-held scanner reads the Data Matrix code and records tool data. Then, the data is registered
and maintained on an AMADA ID Tooling System (AITS) Server — a centralized database
that communicates tooling data to all ID compatible turret punch presses.
By having its own IP address, the AITS Server can share information between the engineering
office and factory floor. All tool conditions can be viewed in real-time and managed based on
current factory floor requirements and conditions. As tools require sharpening, AMADA’s
ID TOGU III tool grinder performs the task with automated speed and precision. After sharpening operations, the ID TOGU III registers the new tool heights on the AITS Server.
AMADA’s ID Tooling System is a comprehensive tool monitoring system that will enable you
to realize optimal tooling management while maximizing efficiency and productivity.
