The GMAW power source comprises interconnected and
fully synchronized components for robot-assisted welding.
Its high-performance processor and high-speed bus enable
data to be exchanged quickly for fast control loops, the manufacturer states. The new Robacta Drive CMT TPS/i push/pull
welding torch is compact for simple access to weldments and
lightweight for use on robots with high traversing speeds.

Cortec® has introduced VpCI®-277, a
ready-to-use dry film rust preventive
designed for preserving metals during
storage and transportation. It contains
a biobased corrosion inhibitor in a nonflammable, low-VOC solvent carrier.
The product combines film-forming
additives with vapor-phase corrosion
inhibitors to provide multimetal corrosion protection. It leaves a dry, non-tacky, nearly undetectable film on the
metal surface. The film contains no
chlorinated compounds, chromates, or
nitrites and creates no oily residue.
The film provides corrosion protection for up to two years of indoor storage or during shipping when combined
with VpCI® packaging materials.

system. This complete, enclosed plate
processing system punches and shears
simultaneously. It is driven by a rack-and-pinion infeed capable of handling
material up to 40 ;. long at speeds up
to 40 FPM. Standard features include
pneumatic clamping, hydraulic plate
hold-down, hydraulic stripper, touchscreen control, and dual punches.
The machine allows hands-free operation for the complete processing of
angle up to 6 by 6 by ½ in. The dual Y
axis features a hydraulic punch driven
on high-speed linear rails, allowing the
operator to punch across the entire
width of angle. Pneumatic material
guides, hydraulic punch strippers, and
quick-change tooling are standard.
Optional tooling allows quick changeover to process flat bar from 2 to 6 in.
wide and up to ½ in. thick. A stamping/
marking unit can be added.
The CNC operation and programming
are controlled via touchscreen with
nesting capability. The operator positions the material on the infeed table
and initiates the pneumatic clamping,
and the machine processes the material
