LA-CO Industries to acquire J.P. Nissen
LA-CO Industries Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill., has agreed in principle to acquire the J.P. Nissen Co., Glenside, Pa., a manufacturer of industrial marking products for the welding, fabrication, and construction markets.
The Nissen product line includes metal roller-ball, liquid
paint, solid paint, and low-corrosion industrial marking products. LA-CO Industries manufactures marking products for industry, industrial temperature indicators, and plumbing and

The Ames Companies, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Gri;on Corp., welcomed
President Trump on his 100th day in office, along with Vice President Michael R.
Pence and Secretary of Commerce Wilbur L. Ross, to its wheelbarrow manufacturing plant located in Harrisburg, Pa.

to new Illinois headquarters
MC Machinery Systems has moved
its Chicago-area headquarters to a
175,000-sq.-;. facility in Elk Grove Village, Ill. The new building is 76 percent
larger than the company’s former headquarters in Wood Dale, Ill.
The new facility features a 50,000-sq.-
;. showroom displaying Mitsubishi
EDM, laser, milling and turning, and
press brake equipment; a machine refurbishment area dedicated to reconditioning preowned machines; a laboratory and clean room to accommodate
PC board repairs; a customer service
call center; and the MC Remote 360 Central Station, a technical area where the
company’s remote monitoring so;ware
is used to diagnose disruptions to customers’ operations before they happen.
Alleghany Capital invests
in W&W|AFCO Steel
New York-based Alleghany Capital
Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of
Alleghany Corp., has acquired a majority interest in WWSC Holdings LLC
(W&W|AFCO), a structural steel fabrication and erection company based in
Oklahoma City, Okla.
The company provides fabricated
steel through six facilities for use in
large construction projects primarily in
North America, including commercial,
industrial, and public structures, as well
as stadiums and bridges.
