GE’s Industrial Solutions business has announced plans to
invest $7.4 million in its West Burlington, Iowa, manufacturing
facility, creating 120 new jobs. The investment will be used to
expand GE’s medium-voltage product development and production in North America.
Once the new ANSI/IEEE medium-voltage switchgear pro-
duction line is added, the facility will manufacture a full line of
medium-voltage systems, including arc-resistant, air-insulat-
ed switchgear for new installations and retrofit applications.
The investment will enable the company to add new production machines, test equipment, and workstations for its
employees.

the eventual spinoff of the company’s
Foodservice business in Q1 2016.
The company also expects to close
its Irwindale, Calif., distribution warehouse.
