The Precision Leveler Plus from Herr-Voss Stamco offers CNC precision machine tool accuracy. Custom-designed ball screw actuators provide the precise adjustment needed for repeatable calibration and machine stretch control, the company states.

Calibration is automatic and menu-driven. The machine monitors and compensates for machinery stretch. It features touchscreen controls and Punch and Go™ setup.

Laser cutting system

Balliu nv Machine Tool Corp. offers the LD series laser cutting system. It combines linear drives with a direct linear measuring system and offers laser power up to 5 k W. The lens cartridges, in 5- and 7.5-in. sizes, are interchangeable without calibrating.

Features include a two-mirror beam delivery system, one-on-one interchangeable pallet blades, an air dryer, driven lens, and side blow. Combined X-Y axis speed is from more than 557.7 FPM to more than 656.2 FPM.

Options include automatic load and unload for the pallet changer, a laser piercing monitor for fast piercing, and network connection and teleservice.

Portable fume extractor

Lincoln Electric has introduced the Mobiflex™

fume extractor, a portable, low-vacuum system designed for the intermittent and

continuous removal and filtration of welding fumes. Designed to reduce welding dust, smoke, and fumes in the work environment, the unit filters contaminated air and recirculates it into the work area.

The system is lightweight and has standard rear wheels and front caster wheels for portability. It is suitable for shops, such as maintenance departments and general fabrication and welding shops, that need a mobile fume extraction system.

The unit’s mobility and the flexibility of its extraction arms, available in 10- and 13-ft. lengths, make reaching the welding point easier. The system can adapt to various work locations and welding applications, including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.

The 200-M model draws air through the extraction arm and spark arrester, capturing welding fumes inside the LongLife^®filter. Particulates are collected on the inside of the cartridge, keeping hands clean during filter maintenance.

The 400-MS model uses a RotaPulse^®self-cleaning filter process. The cleaning of the filter is done segment by segment, with compressed air released through multiple air jets, and results in a consistently high airflow. When the filter becomes dirty, a pressure sensor activates the cleaning system. A complete cleaning cycle can be activated by a manual switch.
