HMF Innovations, Manitowoc, Wis., has purchased the assets of Manitowoc Metal Works. It is being restructured and renamed Heavy Metal Fabricators. The purchase expands HMF, which designs, fabricates, and installs industrial automation robots, to about 40 employees. Manitowoc Metal Works fabricates large metal weldments for the crane and heavy construction equipment markets.

Ohio Gratings Inc., Canton, Ohio, has expanded its manufacturing center by 36,000 sq. ft. to accompany the manufacture of its new Meiser Bartley Gratings (MBG) Press Lock bar grating (pictured). Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, the product is made with several spacing options for use in walkways, building facades, fencing, and other applications.

Orchid Intl., Brentwood, Tenn., has acquired an existing aluminum die-casting operation located in Monterrey, Mexico, formerly owned and operated by Hawk Motors. The newly renamed Orchid Monterrey continues to produce die-cast electric motor components and later will expand to include metal stamping processes for the electric motor industry, as well as the automotive and consumer products industries.

Suburban Steel Supply, Gahanna, Ohio, has purchased Greenrose Inc., of Louisville, Ky., a supplier of structural steel, decorative concrete materials, and concrete tools.
