Small-spool welding electrodes
Select-Arc Inc. offers new literature
that features its carbon steel, self-shielded, flux-cored Select 700GS
welding electrode. This wire is available in 2-lb. blister packs ( 10 per
box), 2-lb. spools ( 18 per box), and
10-lb. spools ( 4 per box).
The color flyer explains that the
wire’s arc transfer is smooth and stable
with almost no spatter. This soft arc
transfer minimizes burn-through on
thin-gauge material, and the slag system enables the electrode to weld in
all positions.
The ability of the wire to weld
without a shielding gas adds to its
portability, since there is no cylinder
to move.
The wire is suitable for single-pass,
high-speed welds on sheet metal up to
3⁄ 16 in. thick, especially galvanized, aluminized, or other coated steels.
